Netra Kambli (left) and Heather Martin (right) joined us this summer as our first interns with the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Bridges Program! They will spend a year training with us, learning how to culture stem cells, growing retinal organoids, and completing independent projects, before returning to their degree programs.
Undergraduates Melissa Chow and Ryan Anderson presented their work at UCSD’s Summer Research Conference on August 17. Melissa presented on functional imaging of 3D retinal organoids, while Ryan described the development of a platform for retinal regeneration.Proud PI, mentors, and labmates!
